Aranmula mirrors have their origin in the temple village of Aranmula in Southern Kerala. A mirror which unlike mirrors which have a reflective coating applied on the rear side of a glass, is made entirely of metal.

The Aranmula mirror is different from other mirrors in a way that they are front reflecting, unlike glass mirrors which have a reflective coating on the rear surface.
