About the Painting - The theme portrays expressionism in distorted lines, forms to provoke an emotional response rather than subjective emotion. The emphasis on emotional intensity of the facial distorted lines; rough, rapid brushwork; and jarring colours highlights instability and emotionally charged environment. Gleaming eyes, cheekbones, protuberance of the folding lips are key emphasis of the portrait. Resilience and altruism are the high points of portrayal characteristics evoking imagination of novelty.
